"The Ten Principles of Freedom: A Presentation of the Ten Principles to the Founding Fathers …"

(In preparation at present)

The author first set out The Ten Principles of Freedom   in his book, Freedom v. A Tyranny of Rights.Those Principles have attracted a great deal of interest and comment. Many comments have been of a general nature, but others have referred to specific statements made by some of the Founding Fathers of the Republic.

Rather than attempting to answer each of those comments, the author is currently preparing a further short book. The book is called The Ten Principles of Freedom: A Presentation of the Ten Principles to the Founding Fathers …

As that title suggests, the author addresses comments made by readers of Freedom v. A Tyranny of Rights in the form of a hypothetical presentation of the Ten Principles to the Founding Fathers. Comments with specific reference to one or other statement made by a specific Founding Father are presented as though that Founding Father himself made the comment during the ‘presentation’. General comments or observations are ascribed collectively to the Founding Fathers.

We set out here some extracts from the ‘presentation’ in the form of seven articles:

1.   The Ten Principles of Freedom: Laying the Foundations;

2.   The Ten Principles of Freedom: The Equal Freedom Principles – Principles 1 to 4;

3. The Ten Principles of Freedom: Principle 5 and the Purpose of Life;

4. The Ten Principles of Freedom: Principle 5 and the Equal Freedom Principles;

5. The Ten Principles of Freedom: Principles 6 and 7 and the Source of Obligations;

6. The Ten Principles of Freedom: Specific Obligations arising from Principle 7, and Principles 8 to 10;

7. The Ten Principles of Freedom: The Ten Principles in full, and their effect on Government.

The author would like to make clear, however, that dealing with comments in this way should not be taken by readers to mean a lack of interest in their comments. The author will still seek to reply to all comments received – except, perhaps, the profane and intellectually challenged.
